A couple of weekends ago I went to this Hindu Hare Krishna festival thing... what is Hare Krishna? Well according to good ol' Wikipedia:
"The Hare Krishnamantra, also referred to reverentially as the Maha Mantra ("Great Mantra"), is a sixteen-word Vaishnava mantra made well known outside of India by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness[1]mantra appears within many traditions of Hinduism and is believed by practitioners to bring about a higher state of consciousness when heard, spoken, meditated upon, or sung out loud."
Basically, a lot of BYU student go because you get to throw colored chalk at each other. And by a lot... I mean A LOT of students go.
We took a quick "before" picture before we left.
We sat in traffic for about 2 hours just trying to get there. We decided to start taking pictures to keep ourselves entertained for a bit. David gets burnt really easily so he put a towel over his head for most of the time... He looks like a little baby or something lol
Of course, when we got there they were sold out of chalk. But luckily a few friendly strangers were willing to throw some at us so we could look cool too. Gabe and I
